04 Nov The return of the expo
After a COVID-induced hiatus for most of our regular shows and expos, it was fantastic to see these events back up and running in 2022. DriveRisk has had a huge year of expos, shows and conventions. From booths to seminars and guest speakers, here’s what our team got up to in 2022:
VTA | 20-22 March | Phillip Island
This year’s Victorian Transport Association’s Annual Conference was centred around a very relevant theme – Attaining Post-Pandemic Supply Chain Certainty.
The whole nation has witnessed the effect that COVID-19 had on our supply chain. Labour shortages, an ageing workforce, out-of-date training and licencing regulations, and a reliance on imports to support our industry have created a perfect storm that has brought our supply chains to the brink of collapse. This year’s VTA tackled these issues head-on, with a focus on how Attaining Post-Pandemic Supply Chain Certainty is paramount for Australia’s economic security.
Scott and Matt were in attendance, head-lining the DriveRisk booth.
AFMA | 2-4 May | Sydney
The annual Australasian Fleet Conference and Exhibition was back in 2022. The annual conference is designed to highlight the road ahead for fleet professionals – ultimately linking the best people with the knowledge and solutions they need to navigate an ever-changing automotive landscape.
Dave held a booth at this year’s show, promoting DriveCam & MV+AI technologies.
QME | 19-21 July | Mackay
This year was our first appearance at the Queensland Mining and Engineering exhibition. This year’s QME aims to showcase the latest technological innovations and collaborative approaches to improve productivity and long-term strategy for the mining sector. The QME connected leading suppliers and technical experts with those seeking better efficiency, better productivity and increased optimisation for businesses in the mining sector.
Michael, our Senior Risk Analyst was showcasing DriveRisk and our ADAS solutions to the mining sector, promoting safety on and off the mine site.
Megatrans | 22-26 Aug | Melbourne
Megatrans is Australia’s largest integrated conference and exhibition dedicated to the logistics industry. Showcasing the latest in artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, automated racking, telematics and route optimisation, warehouse automation, intelligent fleet systems, blockchain, Internet of Things, big data and advanced analytics – phew!
This year DriveRisk hosted a booth headed up by David Swords, Matt Kurowski, Scott Clayton, Lyall McCreath & Rob El-Hajj.
RWTA 22-23 Aug Sydney
Scott Presenter – “Driver Safety Technologies”
Scott Clayton, one of the Senor Risk Consultants with DriveRisk Australia was invited to present at the recent RWTA – Refrigerated Warehouse and Transport Association conference in Sydney. All attendees were very excited to be able to finally get together with their fellow leaders in cold chain and refrigerated warehousing after the Covid interruptions for the last 2 ½ years.
Scott discussed and demonstrated Driver Safety Technologies and the dangers and risks of using the wrong technology to try and improve safety for drivers in the industry.
Scott tackled the big topics such as the limitations of GPS tracking, with lack of insight leading to more risk on the road. DriveRisk advocates for a Risk Management approach to driver safety. Identify, assess & control risk.
